It’s a warm, sunny Cinco de Mayo and we’re reporting from the Lillian Street beach access in Kitty Hawk, NC. Last week’s Nor’ Easter blew surf up and took out a small patch of the beach road just south of our shoot, but NCDOT will have it up and running in no time!
The tourism season is starting up, and for good reason! The waves are pumping, the sun is shining, and the fish are biting! Last weekend was full of activities both surf wise and on the fishing side. Local piers are reporting runs of Bluefish and plenty of Sea Mullet. The surf is still in the upper 50’s but there should be a little choppy swell by week’s end.
