Kitty Hawk is the second town you come to as you cross the Wright Brother Memorial Bridge onto the Outer Banks from the north. Stretching from milepost 1 to milepost 4, Kitty Hawk is a classic vacation town.

The Promenade
The Promenade offers activities ranging from a waterfall themed miniature golf course to a full size fairway driving range. If you want fun on the sound, you will find a watersports center with jetski and boat rentals.
Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Reserve
The Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Reserve is an 1,800 acre protected area. The Coastal Reserve is home to a variety of birds, mammals, reptiles and is the only maritime forest in the state dominated by the bald cypress. Visitors can enjoy walking trails or access the area with small boats. The reserve also features a public boat ramp.
Aycock Brown Welcome Center
The Aycock Brown Welcome Center is named for local photographer and writer Aycock Brown, the first director of the Dare County Tourist Bureau who documented the area in over 100,000 photographs. The center offers promotional information about the Outer Banks area along with public picnic areas.
Sea Scape Golf Links
Nestled in the natural beauty of the Outer Banks, the Sea Scape Golf Links dramatic elevation changes with ocean views on several holes, incorporating maritime forests and sand dunes into the course for a special golfing experience.
Public Beach Access
Kitty Hawk offers public beaches with parking provided on nearby streets. The local Ocean Rescue performs lifeguard and ocean safety duties from Memorial Day until Labor Day.
