At Lone Cedar Café, we specialize in fresh and local Outer Banks seafood. If youre craving the freshest fish, clams, crab, shrimp and oysters from local North Carolina waters, youll find them at the Lone Cedar Café.

For generations, Outer Banks families made their livings and their daily meals from the bounty of local waters, caught fresh every day. Our family, the Basnights, were part of that history, and we continue the tradition today by serving only the freshest Outer Banks seafood, caught in local waters and brought to our docks daily by local fishermen, then cleaned and prepared right here at the Lone Cedar Café. Our vegetables are just picked from North Carolina farms, we serve only all-natural beef and poultry and even our herbs and greens are grown in our own chemical-free garden on-site. Come enjoy delicious food, gorgeous sunsets and panoramic water views, the antics of our resident ospreys and our warm Southern hospitality.

When you first catch sight of The Jolly Roger restaurant, you might be unsure exactly what to think of it. Since its conversion from a gas station/grocery store to a restaurant in 1972, The Jolly Roger has been anything but your ordinary Outer Banks restaurant.

Were eclectic, its crazy. Youll not find another Jolly Roger; theres no rhyme or reason to this place and thats what people love about it, says owner Carol Ann Angelos.

Its been 33 years since Angelos took ownership of Jolly, and over the years she has experienced many changes, including three expansions and a renovation after Hurricane Isabel in 2003. Although the restaurant has gone through several changes over the years, Carol Anns style is unaltered. The restaurant decor is an eclectic blend of Christmas, pirate paraphernalia, aquatic murals, handmade boutique-style gifts and old-time movie posters.

Aubrey had grown up spending summers at his grandparents place on the Outer Banks, and felt it was the perfect place to start a brew pub. January of 2017, Beaman Hines, owner of BLH, Inc, Simply Southern Restaurant and Sooeys BBQ, decided to take on a new venture. With the opportunity of taking over the restaurant located at Seascape Golf Links, Beaman and team decided to try a new type of restaurant to add to the mix. His vision was a place where golfers could come and enjoy a cold beer, cocktail and hearty meal after a round of golf. But it didnt stop there. He was looking to create an atmosphere in, Kitty  Hawk, where locals and tourists could enjoy the gorgeous deck facing the fairway, watch waves roll in over the Atlantic, and meet friends. A gathering place, if you will. By February, Sandtrap Tavern was created. Known as the neighborhood Bar & Grille, the pub-style theme is already becoming a favorite meeting place among locals. Let your taste buds decide between hand-crafted burgers and sandwiches to slow-smoked delicious creations, to a delectably lighter menu featuring fresh salads with local ingredients.  The thoughtfully designed menu also offers everything from aged and seasoned prime rib to pork belly bruschetta.  Patrons can expect some of the same great southern dishes that Sooeys and Simply Southern are known for, like slow-cooked, smoked N.C BBQ, Fried Chicken and more. In addition to these staples, Sandtrap is serving up seasonal dishes like stuffed soft shell crab platter, local smoked tuna, Shrimp Poboy and much more.

Stop by next time you are in the neighborhood and see what all the hype is about, we promise you will leave more than satisfied! Sandtrap now offers the Sunday Ticket, ACC Network, and The Big 10 Network! Sandtrap has you covered for all of your football needs!
