Children's Story Time in Duck | OBX Events

Jamie Layton of Ducks Cottage[/caption]Jamie Layton of Ducks CottagePirates becoming your new neighbors! How can this be? This brings me back to my childhood! When I was a child I remember being taken to the local library where they would have "story time". A gentle, older woman, would read to us a story from a book with colorful illustrations. She was always animated and lively, and her voice drew us in with her portrayal of the characters, which I'm sure I need just to keep my attention. I remember the stories being exaggerated and beyond belief, but I loved them! This summer the Town of Duck is hosting such a story time at their amphitheater, where children can be drawn into fanciful worlds of imagination and fun through readings provided by Duck's Cottage andIsland Bookstore. If you are vacationing on theOuter Banks with small children, this is a stop you need to add to your vacation.Children's Story Time will be held in the Duck Amphitheater at 10:00 a.m. on Thursdays until August 9, 2012. Story time is geared to children between the ages of 3 and 7. Children attending must be accompanied by an adult.
