Late Summer on the OBX – 2022

The waters are at their warmest, the weather is gorgeous, and there's endless amounts of fun to be had. We love the late summer on the Outer Banks because the summer is it's ripest, perfect for the picking.

  • While the ocean temps are warm, the mid-summer heat is fading and the humidity begins to drop.
  • The fishing and surfing are amazing as well. Off shore storms bring the waves, and the upcoming shift in seasons brings the migrating fish!
  • Oh, and did we mention the crowds begin thinning out?
  • This means less wait times at restaurants, more rental options, and better beach combing.
