Monday July 22nd:

OBX Bioluminescence & Full Moon Tour:

Bioluminescence is a naturally occurring phenomenon where organisms produce light as a result of a chemical reaction. Experience the beauty of bioluminescence on the water with the OBX Bioluminescence Tour. The tour is approximately one and a half hours long and is suitable for all ages. A Day at the Beach - 100 Years of Swimwear:

Make your way down to Roanoke Island Festival Park to walk through the latest exhibit, A Day at the Beach: 100 Years of Swimwear. Elaine Henson's collection of vintage advertisements and bathing suits that span from the late 1800s through the 1980s will be open daily in the Ticket Sales Gallery from 9am-5pm through September 30th. The exhibit is free to all visitors, so come out for a blast from the past to learn about the history of swimwear. (1 Festival Park, Manteo, NC 27954)

A History of Bathing Suits In Vintage Advertising:

If you are interested in Henson's exhibit, don't miss the chance to hear her discuss her work. At 6:00 PM on the 22nd, Henson will present "A History of Bathing Suits in Vintage Advertising" in Roanoke Island Festival Park's small auditorium.
